Emily Hoban

Hi! My name is Emily Hoban, and I am from Pennsylvania and currently a student at Syracuse University studying Visual Communications in the Newhouse School of Communications.

I am a very passionate and dedicated sports photographer with experience capturing, editing, and publishing athletic content. I am currently an intern with Syracuse Athletic and Football Recruiting. I have covered a range of sports, including lacrosse, football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, ice hockey, field hockey, volleyball, cross-country, track, golf, wrestling, and rowing.

I have previous experience working at a local sports media company, Sportzwire, where I covered high school sports. In high school, I was in the Media Club and Yearbook Club, and also the primary social media manager for the Boys Basketball Team. I also won the PSPA Bloomsburg 2024 Fall Regional High School Journalism Competition and was a finalist for the Penn State 2025 High School Student Journalism Competition.

I am proficient in Adobe editing and post-production tools, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop. I demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills across creative media, customer service, and management roles. I also speak intermediate French.
